A Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes) divulgou edital com 131.102 vagas em cursos de graduação e especialização, voltadas, principalmente, para a formação de professores da educação básica por meio do Sistema Universidade Aberta do Brasil (UAB). Os números estão no resultado da seleção do Edital nº 09/2022, publicado no Diário Oficial da União.
As propostas selecionadas foram apresentadas por universidades e institutos da rede pública dos 26 estados e do Distrito Federal. São 369 cursos de licenciatura, como pedagogia, letras, matemática e educação física, além de 220 especializações, entre as quais gestão escolar, informática, métodos e técnicas de ensino e saúde na educação.
Universidade Aberta
Criado em 2006, o sistema UAB leva a universidade pública a locais distantes e isolados do país pela modalidade educação a distância (EaD). Isso facilita iniciativas que estimulam a parceria governamental — federal, estadual e municipal — com 139 instituições de ensino superior.
Atualmente, são 121 mil alunos matriculados em 967 polos instalados em 850 municípios.
O objetivo é contribuir para a Política Nacional de Formação de Professores, com ofertas de vagas prioritariamente voltadas ao preparo de profissionais para trabalhar com a educação básica.
