A Secretaria Executiva de Políticas de Promoção da Igualdade Racial (SEPPIR), a Secretaria de Segurança e Controle Urbano (SECONTRU) e o Conselho de Promoção da Igualdade Racial promovem dia 4/10, das 9h às 12h e das 14h às 17h, palestra cujo tema será o racismo institucional e combate às práticas discriminatórias. O evento acontece na Sala Luiz Roberto Claudino da Silva (Avenida Lázaro de Mello Brandão, 300, Vila Campesina), anexa ao Paço Municipal.
A atividade faz parte das diretrizes do Grupo de Trabalho de Direitos Humanos e Combate ao Racismo, coordenado pela SEPPIR, e visa fazer um aprofundamento da pauta acerca da igualdade racial e o papel da segurança pública nesta construção.
A palestra será conduzida por Hédio Silva Júnior, doutor e mestre em Direito pela PUC-SP (Pontifícia Universidade Católica), advogado das religiões afro-brasileiras no Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), e ex-secretário de Justiça do governo do Estado de São Paulo.
Participarão da atividade servidores da Guarda Civil Municipal de Osasco, representantes das polícias Civil e Militar e demais colaboradores do Grupo de Trabalho.
