Passageiros que estavam no voo de Salvador a São Paulo na manhã deste domingo (2) não deixaram passar em branco a presença do padre Kelmon Luis da Silva, candidato à presiência pelo PTB. Após reconhecerem o candidato passaram a entoar versos exaltando o candidato Lula;
Em um vídeo que circula nas redes sociais, os presentes cantam “Olê, olê, olá, Lula, Lula…”. Além disso, uma pessoa grita “Viva São João” e outra solta “Vai tomar o caminho da roça”.
Lançado à disputa do Planalto após a candidatura de Roberto Jefferson ter sido indeferida pelo Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TRE), Kelmon só passou a ser conhecido após participar no último debate presidencial na TV Globo, na quinta-feira (29). Soraya Thronicke chegou a chamar Kelmon de “padre de festa junina”.
Kelmon se apresenta como sacerdote, mas a Igreja Ortodoxa do Brasil emitiu um comunicado afirmando que ele nunca foi seminarista ou membro do clero em nenhum dos três graus da ordem. O candidato, no entanto, se diz membro da Igreja Católica Apostólica Ortodoxa do Peru.
