Um Boeing 737-800 da companhia aérea chinesa China Eastern Airlines com 132 pessoas a bordo caiu em montanhas no Sul da China durante um voo doméstico nesta segunda-feira (21). De acordo com a mídia local, os trabalhadores de resgate não encontraram nenhum sinal de sobreviventes.
O avião estava voando da cidade de Kunming, capital da província de Yunnan, para Guangzhou, capital de Guangdong, que faz fronteira com Hong Kong.
Não houve nenhuma notícia imediata sobre a causa do acidente.
“Podemos confirmar que o avião caiu”, disse a China Eastern Airlines em uma declaração na qual também deu detalhes de uma linha direta para parentes dos que estavam a bordo.
A mídia citou uma autoridade de resgate dizendo que o avião havia se desintegrado e causado um incêndio que destruiu árvores de bambu. O People’s Daily citou um funcionário do departamento de combate a incêndios da província que disse que não havia sinais de vida entre os destroços espalhados.
De acordo com a Administração de Aviação Civil da China (CAAC) e a companhia aérea, a aeronave, com 123 passageiros e nove tripulantes a bordo, perdeu contato sobre a cidade de Wuzhou.
O voo saiu de Kunming às 13h11 (1h11 em Brasília), segundo os dados do FlightRadar24, e deveria aterrissar em Guangzhou às 15h05 (4h05 em Brasília).

O avião, que o Flightradar24 disse ter seis anos em operação, estava em cruzeiro a uma altitude de 29.100 pés às 4h20 no horário de Brasília. Pouco mais de dois minutos e 15 segundos depois, os dados mostraram que a aeronave tinha descido para 9.075 pés.
Em outros 20 segundos, a última altitude rastreada foi de 3.225 pés, indicando uma descida vertical de 31.000 pés por minuto, disse o Flightradar24.
Os dados meteorológicos online mostraram condições parcialmente nubladas com boa visibilidade em Wuzhou no momento do acidente.
O presidente da China, Xi Jinping, pediu que os investigadores determinem a causa do acidente o mais rápido possível para garantir a segurança “absoluta” da aviação, informou a emissora estadual CCTV.
Um porta-voz da Boeing disse: “Estamos cientes dos relatos iniciais da mídia e trabalhando para coletar mais informações”. As ações da Boeing caíam na pré-abertura do mercado.
As ações da China Eastern Airlines em Hong Kong fecharam em baixa de 6,5% após a queda da aeronave.
