Desde de quarta-feira (16), as linhas de ônibus municipais de Cajamar estão com novos veículos a disposição para ampliar o número de partidas diárias do transporte coletivo. A ampliação da frota ocorreu após a solicitação da Prefeitura de Cajamar, que está promovendo reformulações no novo Sistema de Transporte Coletivo Municipal.
Serão oito novos veículos, que tem como objetivo desafogar as linhas do transporte coletivo e diminuir a quantidade de passageiros por partida. Nos últimos dois anos a linha de transporte coletivo passou por reformulações e as linhas foram ampliadas, passando de 24 ônibus para 48, distribuídos entre as 13 linhas.
Com essa ampliação, o município passará a ter 1.780 partidas diárias. Os novos veículos são equipados com sistema de ar-condicionado; terminais de carregadores USB, para aparelhos eletrônicos; e três portas pneumáticas, sendo uma delas destinada exclusivamente à plataforma elevatória, facilitando o acesso de passageiros com cadeira de rodas.
Nas últimas semanas, o Novo Sistema de transporte municipal passou a contar com o serviço de integração. Para fazer a integração entre as linhas pagando apenas uma passagem é preciso ter o Bilhete Único (cartão BEM). O tempo de integração entre as linhas é de até 90 minutos.
