Na cidade de Barueri, em 2022, foi registrado um aumento no número total de veículos roubados e/ou furtados, conforme dados da Secretaria de Segurança Pública de São Paulo (SSP-SP).
O total de casos em 2022, entre furtos e roubo de veículos, teve um aumento de 3,03% com 748 ocorrências, ante 726 em 2021.
Se compararmos separadamente os dados de furtos e roubos, houve diminuição de 5,18% no número de furtos, com 521 casos em 2022, contra 548 casos de 2021. Já no caso dos roubos, aconteceu o inverso, aumento de 43,67%, com 227 casos em 2022, ante 158 em 2021.

Na região, as cidades de Osasco e Carapicuíba apresentam as maiores ocorrências de furtos e roubos. No caso de Osasco, em 2022, foram registrados 2.819 furtos e 881 roubos de veículos, já em Carapicuíba, no mesmo período, foram registrados 1.095 furtos e 278 roubos.
Os dados são públicos e divulgados anualmente pela Secretaria de Segurança Pública de São Paulo.
