Na manhã desta quarta-feira (17), o candidato à Presidência da República pelo PDT, Ciro Gomes, fez uma caminhada pelo bairro Cento e Vinte, em Santana do Parnaíba, cidade da região metropolitana de São Paulo. Ao lado do candidato a governador de São Paulo pelo PDT, Elvis Cezar, e da candidata a vice-governadora, Gleides Sodré, Ciro fez campanha na região e relembrou um dos pilares da sua campanha, o programa de renda mínima. O programa foi batizado em homenagem ao vereador Eduardo Suplicy, do PT de São Paulo.
“Aqui no Cento e Vinte nós repisamos nossa prioridade, o programa de renda mínima, de cidadania, Eduardo Suplicy. Mil reais para todos os domicílios da pobreza brasileira que têm uma definição. Quem ganha por cabeça R$ 417 por mês passará a ter direito constitucional, como elemento previdenciário, com receitas arrecadadas pelo Estado, para resolver o problema”, disse ele durante a caminhada.
Ciro, que também estava acompanhado de vários candidatos a deputado federal e estadual do partido, afirmou que seu programa de governo visa a construção de “um Brasil para todos”. “Aqui nós viemos sinalizar aquilo que é o compromisso fundamental do projeto nacional de desenvolvimento: construir um Brasil para todos, um Brasil equilibrado, justo, onde cada setor da vida nacional tenha uma oportunidade de visualizar seus interesses, sua estratégia, de ter esperança no futuro”.
O candidato a presidente pelo PDT destacou o compromisso do seu projeto de governo em acabar com a pobreza, “erradicar a miséria, a fome, a doença e todas as sequelas da sociedade mais injusta, de pior distribuição de renda do mundo”. À tarde, o candidato do PDT deverá gravar seu programa eleitoral. As campanhas pela televisão e rádio terão início no dia 26 de agosto.
O PDT lançou a candidatura de Ciro Gomes em 20 de julho, mas, em entrevistas realizadas nos últimos anos, ele já se colocava como candidato à Presidência, após o terceiro lugar obtido na eleição de 2018. O partido não fechou alianças este ano e definiu o nome de Ana Paula Matos, vice-prefeita de Salvador, como candidata a vice-presidente na chapa.
À noite, Ciro concedeu entrevista ao SBT e defendeu a taxação das grandes fortunas, acima de R$ 20 milhões. Segundo ele, será feita uma reforma econômica profunda nas contas do governo. “Nesta reforma, eu vou diminuir os impostos sobre a população, especialmente no consumo e sobre os empreendedores, e vou aumentar os impostos sobre os super ricos. [Taxar as grandes fortunas] com meio a um e meio de alíquota, apenas sobre os patrimônios superiores a R$ 20 milhões”, disse Ciro, explicando que isso só alcançaria 58 mil contribuintes.
