O salário mínimo em 2023 será de R$ 1.294 e não terá aumento acima da inflação. O reajuste consta do projeto da Lei de Diretrizes Orçamentárias (PLDO) de 2023, enviado ontem (14) ao Congresso Nacional.
O reajuste segue a projeção de 6,7% para o Índice Nacional de Preços ao Consumidor (INPC) para este ano. A estimativa também consta do PLDO.
O projeto também apresentou previsões de R$ 1.337 para o salário mínimo em 2024 e de R$ 1.378 para 2025. As projeções são preliminares e serão revistas no PLDO dos próximos anos.
Até 2019, o salário mínimo era reajustado segundo uma fórmula que previa o crescimento do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB, soma das riquezas produzidas no país) de dois anos anteriores mais a inflação oficial do ano anterior.
Desde 2020, o reajuste passou a seguir apenas a reposição do INPC, por causa da Constituição, que determina a manutenção do poder de compra do salário mínimo.
Segundo o Ministério da Economia, cada aumento de R$ 1 no salário mínimo tem impacto de aproximadamente R$ 389,8 milhões no orçamento. Isso porque os benefícios da Previdência Social, o abono salarial, o seguro-desemprego, o Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC) e diversos gastos são atrelados à variação do mínimo.
O valor do salário mínimo para o próximo ano ainda pode ser alterado, dependendo do valor efetivo do INPC neste ano. Pela legislação, o presidente da República é obrigado a publicar uma medida provisória até o último dia do ano com o valor do piso para o ano seguinte.
Em 2022, o salário mínimo está em R$ 1.212. O aumento representou 10,18% em relação a 2021, um pouco maior que o INPC acumulado de 10,16%.
