Pesquisa da Secretaria de Turismo e Viagens do Estado de São Paulo (Setur-SP) sobre as expectativas de ocupação para o feriado da Semana Santa (7, 8 e 9) aponta que os 100 municípios turísticos do Estado vão receber cerca de um milhão de visitantes.
Além disso, o turismo deve movimentar R$ 5 bilhões em impactos diretos e indiretos, o que significa uma ocupação hoteleira média de 74%, índice maior que o de 2022 (70%).
O levantamento foi realizado pelo Centro de Inteligência da Economia do Turismo (CIET), ligado à Setur-SP, e para 98% dos municípios turísticos do estado, o número de visitantes deve crescer em relação ao ano passado.
“O Estado de São Paulo tem uma diversidade de opções para receber o turista no feriado; da temática religiosa ao turismo de sol e praia, passando pela gastronomia e pela cultura”, disse Roberto de Lucena, secretário de Turismo e Viagens de SP.
O Estado de São Paulo tem o maior destino religioso do Brasil e o maior centro de peregrinação religiosa da América Latina: Aparecida, onde está localizada a Basílica de Nossa Senhora Aparecida. E conta também com dezenas de rotas religiosas, como a Rota da Luz, que liga Mogi das Cruzes à Aparecida e atrai milhares de peregrinos todos os anos.
Nas cidades de perfil religioso, como Guaratinguetá e Lorena, a ocupação hoteleira média será ainda mais elevada, ficando em 90%, índice superior ao do ano passado (70%). Apenas o município de Batatais, localizado na região metropolitana de Ribeirão Preto, espera receber 15 mil visitantes, atraídos pela Encenação da Paixão de Cristo no Sambódromo Carlos Henrique Cândido Alves.
O litoral paulista também vai estar aquecido nesta Páscoa. Com previsão de tempo bom em todo o estado durante o feriado, a expectativa de ocupação deve atingir os 75%. Espera-se mais de 300 mil turistas circulando pelo Guarujá, Itanhaém, Peruíbe, Praia Grande, Santos, Cananéia, Iguape, Bertioga, Caraguatatuba e São Sebastião.

Economia do turismo
O Estado de São Paulo é o maior mercado emissor de turistas do Brasil – e também o estado que mais recebe visitantes. O desempenho do turismo paulista este ano deve registrar o maior dos últimos cinco anos: a estimativa é de que a economia do setor cresça 7,8% em 2023, segundo o CIET. Puxado pelo turismo doméstico, o PIB do turismo paulista vai bater os R$ 299,4 bilhões.
Este ano, são esperados 45 milhões de turistas nacionais no estado; um milhão a mais que em 2019, último ano antes da pandemia. O turismo internacional também cresce: 2,3 milhões de turistas estrangeiros, contra 2,1 milhões de 2019. Os três maiores aeroportos de SP devem registrar 77 milhões de passageiros, na maior movimentação desde 2019, considerando voos domésticos e internacionais.
