A exposição Portinari para todos revisita a obra de um dos grandes ícones da arte do século 20 de uma forma inédita, proporcionando uma experiência imersiva no universo do artista.
A mostra é dividida em três áreas expositivas. A primeira traz sete instalações interativas para que o público conheça mais da vida e do legado do artista. Na sequência, o visitante ingressa na sala Portinari imenso, que possibilita a imersão nas obras, em escala monumental, de forma contemplativa e envolvente. O terceiro espaço contextualiza o acervo de Portinari e sua ligação com a cultura e história do país, reiterando a importância da preservação da memória do artista.
“Portinari para Todos oferecerá uma experiência única, que permitirá às novas gerações se envolverem com a potência, diversidade e singularidade da obra do artista”, afirma Marcos Mendonça, diretor geral da ACCIM – Associação Cultural Ciccillo Matarazzo, que gere o MIS, MIS Experience e Paço das Artes.
João Candido Portinari, fundador e coordenador do Projeto Portinari, que tem a missão de preservar e democratizar o legado do artista, também ressalta essa oportunidade única. “Nem sei como expressar o entusiasmo com que estamos trabalhando a pleno vapor para levar às mais amplas faixas de público um Portinari nunca visto antes. Um Portinari imersivo, interativo, digital, no formato inovador do MIS Experience, uma experiência inédita em escala monumental.”
A curadoria de Portinari para todos é assinada por Marcello Dantas, premiado curador interdisciplinar com ampla atividade no Brasil e no exterior. Esteve por trás da concepção de diversos museus, entre os quais o Museu da Língua Portuguesa e a Japan House, em São Paulo, o Museu do Homem Americano e o Museu da Natureza, no Piauí, e o Museu do Caribe, na Colômbia.
A exposição #PortinariParaTodos, apresentada pelo Bradesco, Ministério do Turismo, Secretaria Especial da Cultura através da Lei de Incentivo à Cultura, Governo do Estado de São Paulo, por meio da Secretaria de Cultura e Economia Criativa de São Paulo, Prefeitura de São Paulo, Secretaria Municipal de Cultura e MIS Experience por meio do Promac.
