Os candidatos Tarcísio de Freitas (PT) e Fernando Haddad (PT) vão disputar o segundo turno das eleições para governador do estado de São Paulo. Tarcísio tem 42,32% dos votos válidos e Haddad tem 35,69% dos votos válidos. Até agora, foram apurados 99,92% das urnas.
Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas é servidor público de carreira, 47 anos, é formado pela Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras (AMAN) e graduado em engenharia no Instituto Militar de Engenharia. Fez parte da missão de paz da Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) no Haiti. Trabalhou nas áreas de infraestrutura e investimento, foi presidente do Departamento Nacional de Infraestrutura de Transportes (DNIT), e ministro da Infraestrutura O vice na chapa é o administrador Felicio Ramuth.
É professor universitário e cientista político, tem 55 anos. É formado em direito pela Faculdade do Largo São Francisco e doutor em filosofia. Leciona ciência política na USP. Foi ministro da Educação e prefeito de São Paulo. É casado com Ana Estela Haddad e pai de dois filhos. A vice na chapa é a diretora escolar Lucia França.
